Government Steps

November 17, 2008

Check out this article.

It seems that the nations got together this weekend and discussed how they could more closely work together to get the economy going.

For Mr. Bush, the upheaval delivered a final blow to an administration staggering under an unpopular war in Iraq and a weakening economy. With Mr. Obama watching from Chicago, Mr. Bush was not even the most sought-after American at the meeting. Instead, leaders from Mexico to Turkey lined up to meet two emissaries sent by Mr. Obama.

The Kingdom should get busy being the Kingdom. We should stop celebrating elections or bemoaning them and get to work. The world is in crisis and the answer is the same as it was 2000 years ago.

Jesus Christ.

Right on! I totally agree. I’ve had several conversations with friends about the elections and results. My point is that God knows what’s going on. He isn’t blind or ignorant. He wasn’t watching the elections wondering if “His man” would be put in or not. His man did get put in. If the vote went the other way then I could say the same thing… His man got put in. God is not at the whim of the American voter.

It is funny, in a sad way, watching some “evangelicals” (and I put my faith heritage in there also) bemoaning the election as if God didn’t get His way, or God got second best.

I enjoy your posts and read each one even though I don’t comment on them.
