Do you want to get to know people? Just ask questions. You never know where a simple question will lead. You can never guess what ministry will follow. I am currently working on the young lady who picks up carts at the local City Market.

The past few visits there she was with her orange vest pushing a very large stack of carts. I asked her how she was doing. I asked her if she liked picking up carts. She explained that it wasn’t her job but just that it needed to be done and she was the one doing it.

I know her name and where she is originally from. I even helped her out with a cart. Where will this relationship go? To a place where I find out her relationship with Jesus Christ. Why will I have that opportunity? Questions.

Take time to ask questions and be warned, you never know what the answer will be. Be prepared to learn about people and build relationships. Be prepared to show them love and kindness. Be ready to find out if they are in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. But for any of that to happen you better start asking questions.

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.” 1 Peter 3:15-16
